It’s okay to grieve

It’s okay to grieve and it’s okay to get help. Talk to someone you trust… but please just keep walking. Remember that sadness does not mean lack of sabr (patience) or faith.

Prophet Yaqoub (PBUH) was a very patient man and yet his grief for losing Yousuf (PBUH) was unparalleled.

And he (Yaqub pbuh) said, “Oh, my sorrow over Yusuf,” and his eyes became white from grief because of the sorrow that he suppressed.” (Qur’an 12:84)

Infertility and grief

I wrote this in 2012, after my first failed #IVF. I was very upset and distraught. I didn’t feel like talking to anyone and Imran (my husband) was in the US, I was in India. I just felt bitter from inside and just wanted to stay locked in my parent’s room. I let the #grief take over and one day I had enough of it. I needed to return to my normal self so I wrote this and walked out of my room. It’s important to realize that I let the grief take control for some time. I let myself heal before I, myself was ready. Not sure who needs to read this today but I hope it helps. You are not alone. You got this girl! #BreakingTaboos #LetItOut #Miscarriageisnotastigma.

Tawakkul (Arabic: تَوَكُّل‎), is the Islamic concept of the reliance on God or “trusting in God’s plan”.

“And whoever puts all his trust in Allah, He will be enough for him.” [Quran 65:3]

Living life with Intention & Action

What does it mean to live life with intention?

Imagine taking a deep breath with an abundance of gratitude, realizing that something that comes so naturally can be taken away so easily.

Imagine breathing with intention. Now Imagine using this gift to live your life with purpose and meaning.

Once we realize how valuable our time is, we will want to use it to the best of our ability, removing distractions, and focusing on positivity, and wanting to do good in the world In’shaa’Allah. We all want to leave a legacy behind. Make it a good one In’shaa’Allah.

There are two blessings which many people lose: (They are) Health and free time for doing good.” Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)
