Move on dear heart

Beyond the mist of right and wrong

Beyond the worry of sin

Not because you are tired

But because you are finally content

Falak.

“O you who have faith, avoid much assumption for some assumption is sinful.” [Qur’an, 49:12]
You cannot speak of peace in silos and hope to change the world. We must work together to break down these barriers. Cooperative healing is the only way to move towards a peaceful world.
In the end we are all responsible for ourselves. Our actions, our words, our intentions. So let’s not focus on others and let’s shift the focus from them to us. Our behavior, our pride, our need for attention. For when the tongue is done, our ego will have no where to go. So focus your energy on being more compassionate to others rather than finding fault and then and only then can we understand what it truly means to believe.
“A man reviled Abu Bakr (RA) in the presence of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). The Prophet (PBUH) remained seated. He looked pleased and smiled. He insulted Abu Bakr (RA) twice, but Abu Bakr (RA) controlled himself and remained silent. He insulted him for a third time, and Abu Bakr (RA) then let his tongue loose and responded back. At that, the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) got up and left.
Grief in Islam is sometimes so misunderstood and so rarely spoken about. We need to understand that feeling sad is absolutely normal. Taking the time we need to grieve is an honest necessity. We need to start respecting our needs and not shaming people for how they process grief. No one is giving up on life, they are adjusting everyday. They are learning from their sadness. They are getting stronger in body, soul, and faith.
Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with him, said, “If you intend to mention the faults of your companions, then remember your own faults.”
