There is a reason why there is no compulsion in religion. It’s because gratitude cannot be forced it can only be felt, it can only practiced. It cannot be under duress, instituted on an unhealthy foundation of compulsion and fear. Religion cannot be a constraint on one’s soul when it’s sole purpose is contentment of the soul.

It easier to destroy someone than to heal, accept, love. I’m terrified of bugs and honestly it is so easy for me to squish them… destroy them. But being terrified and still finding a way through my shaky hands and shrieks to put them outside is so much harder for me to do. But seeing them fly away is a reward in itself.
“And Who gave you all that you asked Him for. Were you to count the favours of Allah you shall never be able to encompass them. Verily man is highly unjust, exceedingly ungrateful.” [Qur’an, 14:34].
